Annai Arul Public School is a Co-Educational CBSE School, established in the year 2019. AAPS was started with a strong vision to change the way education is understood and practiced. Founded by Dr. J. Selvan, AAPS welcomes children who want to move beyond rote learning and explore a world of opportunities to shape their future. Annai Arul Public School (AAPS) is a co-educational institution in Madambakkam, Chennai. Founded in 2019, it is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The school offers classes from Nursery to Grade XII with English as the medium of instruction.
AAPS is managed by the J. Selvan Educational Trust, committed to quality education. The school emphasizes academic excellence, values, and holistic growth. It provides a safe and nurturing environment for young learners to thrive.

Every child at Annai Arul Public School is a unique individual. We aim to keep the core curriculum intact while motivating and helping build his/her finesse that are according to his/her needs, talents, challenges and motivations. We are conscious in moulding our children being free and fearless, but, at the same time to allow them explore and connect with the subject matter that creates curiosity and inquisitiveness in them.
Our teachers are trained to be facilitators, rather than instructors. We are always welcome to new ideas, commendable suggestions and emerging technologies that will benefit the children in all times. They make sure that our vision and their mission is manifested. Our organisation is blessed with the enormous support of our parents and other members of the community who are an integral part of our success. As a result, we are a truly progressing and an adaptable school to provide the best opportunities to our children.

The logo of Annai Arul Public School (AAPS) is a symbol of wisdom, strength, and holistic growth. Designed in a Regal Purple Hue, the shield at its center represents Protection & Resilience. It is flanked by two olive fronds, which signify Harmony, and a Nurturing Learning Environment. At the heart of the shield is an Open Book, embodying Knowledge and Intellectual Freedom, encouraging students to explore without limitations. The Three Shining Stars within the shield represent Academic, Sports and Cultural Excellence, the three key domains in which students are guided to excel. Above the book, the depiction of Students soaring towards a Shooting Star symbolizes their Aspiration for Greater Heights and Achievements. The school’s motto, “Explore, Evolve, Excel”, reflects its core philosophy. It inspires students to explore new possibilities with curiosity, Evolve with ingenuity, and ultimately Excel in all endeavors. Through this emblem, AAPS reaffirms its commitment to Fostering a learning environment that empowers students to reach their Fullest Potential.
Management Teams
Led by trustees from varied fields, our management combines experience, values and innovation. Their collective vision drives AAPS to deliver holistic, future-focused education where every child can Explore, Evolve & Excel.
Holds a BE in Civil Engineering, complemented by extensive experience in management and administration, building a strong foundation for leading and developing educational institutions.
Holds an MBBS, MD in General Medicine, and DNB in Gastroenterology.
He brings a strong foundation in clinical medicine and administration, with specialized expertise in gastroenterology backed by extensive experience.
Holds a BE in ECE, MBA and M.Ed. Complemented by IIM executive programs in Management & Leadership, including the Education Leaders’ Programme from IIM-Calcutta and IIT-Delhi. He brings a strong foundation in leadership, with specialized expertise in education.

At AAPS, every student belongs to a Kingdom – a friendly, close-knit family within the school. It’s where students learn Teamwork, Leadership and mutual Respect while having fun together! It encourages confidence, cooperation and healthy competition while building a strong sense of belonging and school spirit.
Each student belongs to one of four kingdoms and has a Captain and Vice-Captain, guided by dedicated teachers. Together, they lead, compete and spread positivity across the school! Throughout the year, kingdoms compete in Sports, Cultural and Academic events.
